Old Fishman’s hut, Bathsheba Barbados. (Naive style)

The Old Fisherman’s Hut, Bathsheba, Barbados is approx 40 x 30cms. Painted in a naïve style, this piece depicts a weathered, roofless hut perched atop the iconic rock formations of Bathsheba. The composition features a contrast between the sturdy, pale stone steps and the vibrant, turquoise Caribbean waters, all set beneath a bright blue sky with soft, billowing clouds. This artwork beautifully captures the rugged, coastal character of one of Barbados’ most famous landmarks.

I wanted to capture the scene, as some erosion and the slow decay of an iconic sight could be lost forever.
